Histoire du Tango

This piece is “Histoire du Tango” composed by Argentine composer Ástor Piazzolla. In four movements it conveys the history of the tango, which began in the 1900s. Bordello (1900) depicts people dancing the tango in a dance hall while Café (1930) portrays a lonesome man listening to tango music by himself. Nightclub (1960) captures the scene of young adults dancing energetically to tango music in a discotheque, and Concert d’Aujourd’hui, which is performed here, focuses on the audience enjoying tango music.

Isn’t this music really cool?
