In the time of social distancing, the feeling of isolation closely follows. This feeling often make us feel low in energy. Alexander McQueen wants people to make most out of this time to create and stay productive!
Alexander McQueen announced a weekly new project to “inspire and initiate creative conversation” with McQUEEN CREATORS. Each week it will launch a new creative concept to encourage its followers to “engage artistically” with imagery and pieces shared on the brand’s social media accounts.
Alexander McQueen is also asking for fans to share their creative work using the hashtag #McQueenCreators, with the brand added that they will share their favorites on their social media channels.
Starting from today, the fashion house’s followers are being encouraged to unlock their creativity and make art based on their favorite pieces from a selection of images shared on the brand’s social channels. Inspiring submissions will then be shared and celebrated on McQueen’s social media platforms.
Every week, a new creative concept will be unveiled, connecting followers and fans with McQueen’s team of collaborators – all through a series of digital tutorials.
First up? We’re sketching the succulent finale Rose dress from the Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, displayed at the Roses installation in the house’s Bond Street open studio.
Future projects include 3-D creation, embroidery, and many more initiatives yet to be announced – and will have us flexing our creative muscles for the foreseeable future.
